General Description: The castle was built at the turn of the 19th century and has been the estate of a german manufacturing family. It is situated outside the village of kaplice and 10 kilometers from the czech-austrian border. It is an imposing spot in the middle of the unspoiled bohemian woodlands. An oasis of silence but within a short distance of the well-trodden trails of the tourist hotspots of the czech republic in south bohemia. It is an district with pristine forests and gentle rolling hills, habitat to deer and wild boars. Squirrels are having a field day in the hotel yard. The river malse with its numerous trouts runs through our garden. In 2005 the castle was totally refurbished and now has a capacity of 14 comfy rooms with a bathroom and tv set. Every room has a showy view. The hotel is reachable for the disabled.
